One People. One Aim. One Destiny.
The Organisation of Rastafari in Unity — organising, centralising and uplifting the Rastafari Community of St. Kitts and Nevis.
Welcome, in the name of Unity
The Organisation of Rastafari in Unity (ORU) is the gathering place for the Rastafari Community of St. Kitts and Nevis. We came together around one conviction: that a people united cannot be moved. Where there were scattered voices, ORU builds one strong voice. Where there were separate efforts, ORU builds common cause.
Our purpose is to organise, to centralise and to promote the enhancement of the Rastafari Community — through our livity and our labour, our reasoning and our roots. We work across education, health, the spiritual life, the economy and the social wellbeing of our people, and we carry the call of the Rastafari Nation into local, regional and international spaces. At the heart of that work stand two sacred causes: Reparations and Repatriation.
InI do not see this as charity or as politics for its own sake. We see it as the building of a firm, unshakable foundation for the generations of Rastafari yet to come.

What we stand for

Unity (Inity)
Coordination and brotherhood among Rastafari across both islands, and a structure strong enough to outlast any single generation.
Education
Teaching ourselves and the wider society the truth of African and Rastafari history, heritage and culture.
Advocacy & Justice
Representing, lobbying and negotiating for the human rights of the Rastafari Nation at every level of government and civil society.
Economic Self-Reliance
African-centred economic programmes, cooperation among Africans at home and abroad, and the promotion of our agricultural and cultural industries.
Health & Livity
Promoting natural, Ital living and the well-being of body, mind and spirit.
Reparations & Repatriation
Pursuing reparatory justice for the wrongs of slavery and colonialism, and upholding the right of return to Africa.
Building for the generations

Everything ORU does is measured against one question: will it strengthen the Rastafari Community for those who come after us? We organise so that the children and grandchildren of today’s Rastafari inherit not confusion and division, but an institution that knows its purpose, defends its people and lifts its standard of living year upon year.
We invite every Rasta in St. Kitts and Nevis — and every friend of the cause — to reason with us, to work with us, and to walk with us.
